In photography, luck and inspiration matter just as much as equipment. Sometimes skill makes all the difference, and you end up with a great shot. In this case, though, I think I was simply lucky. Honestly, this might be the most successful photo I’ve ever taken.
I’ve invested quite a bit in camera gear, hoping to improve my artistic skills. Yet after more than a year and thousands of photos — with only a handful I’d call truly good — one evening, using nothing but a cheap phone, I managed to capture what might be my best photo yet.
What do you think? I really like this one. Someday, I’d like to ask my wife to crochet by headlamp again so I can try to recreate the scene with my Olympus camera. Hopefully, this time, the image quality will match the moment.
